Welcoming Drexel University to our Philadelphia Regional Event!
How would you like to be part of a scholastic community that includes real-world work experience in its curriculum as well as provides accelerated degree programs and numerous of extracurricular opportunities?
We're thrilled to announce that an admissions and financial aid team from Drexel University will be available to answer your questions at our City of College Dreams - Live! Eastern Regional Event in Philadelphia on Oct. 19.
Drexel University is the only institution in Pennsylvania and one of only three in the United States that elevates education beyond the classroom through a mandatory Co-op program that incorporates full-time relevant employment experience into students' academic program.
Some of the top academic colleges/schools at Drexel are the College of Engineering, The Bennett S. LeBow College of Business, and the College of Nursing and Health Professions, with the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design also being a University leader in terms of competitive, nationally recognized programs, including Architecture and Music Industry.
Drexel also offers unique accelerated degree opportunities, such as a 7-year BS/MD program through its College of Medicine and 15 other options that enable students to earn bachelor's and graduate-level degrees in as few as five years.
Drexel University automatically reviews students for merit-based scholarships upon applying for admission. Some great scholarships offered at the school include:
- AJ Drexel Scholarship (up to $26,000 per year)
- Presidential Scholarship (up to $20,000 per year)
- Dean's Scholarship (up to $20,000 per year for incoming freshmen and up to $15,000 per year for incoming transfer students)
The individual colleges at Drexel also offer unique scholarship opportunities, such as awards for Nursing and Engineering students and for those who have participated in certain academic or community outreach programs:
- Children of Alumni Awards (to children of Drexel alumni)
- Family Grants (to two or more children from the same immediate family attending Drexel University at the same time)
- Drexel Early FAFSA Grants (to students who submit the FAFSA to Drexel by March 1st)
- Alumni-Trustee Endorsement Grant (to enrolling undergraduates who have been recommended by a Drexel alumnus/a or trustee)
"Drexel University strives to inform as many individuals as possible, from all economic backgrounds, about the valuable opportunities it offers, and Ben Kaplan's City of College Dreams event is an efficient venue to reach prospective students and introduce them to educational and career success," says Lauren Taniguchi, Assistant Director of Recruitment.
"Ben Kaplan has established himself as a respected authority on attaining higher education through many sectors of the media, and Drexel University is honored to partner with his program to continue educating the public about the benefits and feasibility of earning a college education."
